The Penang Refugee Network is all about the work with refugee communities in Penang.
Its history and present activities consolidates and takes forward the community-based initiatives which began with the Penang Stop Human Trafficking Campaign (PSHTC) and Aspire Penang. The work is supported by Persatuan Komuniti Berdikari.

Linked to the work of
Gale Metcalf was a long-term volunteer and wonderful asset for our work. She supported the Penang refugee community through her wide-ranging skill sets and passion for human rights. She was very involved in mentoring staff, sourcing financial and volunteer resources and providing strategic guidance on organisational development. Her compassion, kindness, generosity, warmth and skills will always be cherished and long be remembered by all who came across her. Very sadly, Gale passed away on February 27, 2023. We will miss her.
